BEHIND THE BRAND Afsheen Ali is the designer behind Daltas Décor. Rooted from the Gilgit Baltistan region of the country and a graduate from National College of Arts, Lahore, with an extensive market experience of more than 10 years in communication, media and interior design, Afsheen started Daltas Décor to bring traditional craft of the region to new markets with an addition of her own artistic touch to match the needs of current contemporary lifestyles. WHY daltas decor? Since the idea of the brand evolves around recognition and revival of the dying traditional craft of Gilgit Baltistan region and to empower local artisans of the regions, therefore, the brand name ‘Daltas’ is also rooted from the regional language of ‘Burushaski ’ which means ‘Beautiful’. A combination of a traditional word ‘Daltas’ with an English word ‘Décor’ not only makes the meaningful brand name, but also indicates the modern and contemporary vision of the brand.
